Hi, I’m Niké!
Singer, songwriter and arranger from the Czech Republic.
Combining my love for jazz-influenced existential soul-pop and a passion for deep meaningful conversations, I write music that brings people a piece of home.
Besides performing with my own band and releasing music under my name, I actively write songs for other artists.
“Only Niké Vopalecká can bring life to the wind. It’s the most beautiful thing.”

So, who am I?
I grew up in Ostrava, Czech Republic in a family of talented amateur musicians and started music lessons early on.
I have always had a deep passion for telling powerful stories, asking deep questions and creating a safe space for people to feel at home.
Since the age of twelve, I performed Old Soul classics and RnB tunes with student bands all across the region.
Once I discovered the art of not only performing covers but writing original music, my perception of music completely changed.
My journey started off by writing songs for other artists. While in high school, I wrote three songs for a Czech singer Markéta Konvičková, one of which “AMI” reached over 1.6M views on Youtube.
I helped multiple artists in the early stages and launches of their musical careers.
Among others, I wrote first releases for emerging stars like Adéla Křivánková, co-wrote a pop banger for a Norwegian singer Maggie Reitan and co-wrote Přemek Forejt’s “Please” in collaboration with a successful songwriter Petr Harazin.
I find it rewarding to support other artists’ visions - to listen, understand and help bring them to life.
I have extensive experience as an arranger and band leader. During Covid, I arranged a full ten-song acoustic album “Jiná” for a Czech award-winning folk-metal band Silent Stream of Godless Elegy that was nominated for the Czech Jantar award.
While at Berklee College of Music, I co-founded a Scandinavian funk band SKÅL (“cheers”), wrote most of their original repertoire and arranged for a ten-piece band.
Most recently, I was selected to arrange and conduct an eight-minute tribute for Sara Bareilles, featured in the 2025 Berklee Commencement Concert – with Sara Bareilles watching from the audience.
The arrangement was performed at the 7000-seat Agganis Arena in Boston by 40+ musicians including a large string section, woodwinds, rhythm section and featured vocalists, including the established Shayna Steele (e.g. featured on Gone Under, Snarky Puppy, Family Dinner - Vol. 1).
I also make my own arrangements and have my own band.
In 2025, I completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Berklee College of Music, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, where I studied with the likes of Peter Eldridge (New York Voices) and Debo Ray (Grammy-nominated vocalist).
In 2024, I released her debut single “Don’t Need Her,” an introspective RnB song.
In the summer 2025, I am releasing my debut album “Another Garden” featuring seven original compositions.
Besides my own projects, I have also been working with Droid Mafia, a production company for which I compose and produce music for sync and networks.
“Playing your music is actually a spiritual experience. I can’t even describe why. But you and that band - I rarely feel music THAT deeply.”
